First Day of Kindergarten

The boys had their first day of kindergarten on Friday. For me, it was a bitter-sweet day. I was/am so excited for the opportunities ahead of them, yet I am so sad that my twins are big enough to go to school.
Both inquisitive, they asked what seemed like millions of questions before the BIG day. Cooper had a bit more nervousness about him than Lance. For weeks when we would drive by their school, he would tell me that he was scared. Each time, we would talk about it. However, Friday proved to be a great day for both of them! They are excited about going back to school this Friday and starting full-time next week. We know it will be a fun journey for us all!!!

Best Buddies

While the boys were at tennis lessons, Brooke and Skylar had a fun time practicing their gymnastics. These 2 are sooooo cute together; I love to watch them play & interact!

Tennis Fun

Cooper, Blakely, and Lance

Focusing on the right grip

Lance and Cooper started tennis lessons last week. They had a great time and played very well for their first lesson. Wonder what they will think at the end of the 8-week session?!?

Crazy Kids ....

... Need I say more?!?

A Look Inside the Playhouse

1 Brave Papaw + 3 Kids + 3 Cans of Paint = A Fun Afternoon and Beautiful Playhouse

The Playhouse is Complete!

THANK YOU PAPAW!!!
Brooke is THRILLED with her new playhouse. It looks incredible and is perfect for all the kids. We all LOVE it!!!

Our Blessings

Everyday, I am totally amazed by our precious children. Yes, we have many challenges on a daily basis; yet, as a whole, these kids are 'perfect' in my sight! God has blessed our family beyond my greatest imagination. Their child-like faith and hunger for knowledge is an inspiration to me! I thank God for them every single day!

Lance Water Skiing

Cooper Water Skiing

Trip to Louisville

This past weekend, we went to Louisville to visit my brother and his family. We had an AWESOME visit!!! The kids did not want to leave to come home on Sunday.

We spent most of the day on the lake on Friday. The boys enjoyed tubing with Quinten and Ainsley; they also enjoyed the chance to water ski. On Saturday, we played tennis and went to the pool while the guys played golf. The kids also loved playing in the woods & in the tree house.

Thank you, Price & Cheryl, for an awesome weekend! We love you all and miss you very much!

Kindergarten Kick-Off Pool Party

These 9 boys and 4 girls will all be starting kindergarten this week!
Lilly and Blakely help to keep the little kids in line!

Lance and Cooper helped me plan a Kindergarten Kick-Off Pool Party this past Thursday. All of these soon-to-be kindergarteners were in the same preschool class this past year; and a few have been in the same class since they were infants. I cannot believe their preschool years have ended ... despite some tears from Mom, my boys are getting excited about entering a new chapter in their lives!

Friday Night Cookout

We recently went to our friend's house to cookout one Friday night. We all had a great night together! Needless to say, the kids were exhausted by the time we left!

Swimming Pool Fun

Lance & his friends are posing for a quick picture with the frog he found .... YUCK!

Adam, Brooke, and Kyle ... Aren't they just precious?!?

One of our best summer memories is hanging out at our neighborhood pool with friends ... and this particular day was no different!

Birthday Party Fun

One of Lance and Cooper's best friends celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago at Pump It Up. The boys had such a fun time! Pictured here is Drew, Tyler, and Cooper; Lance is in the background.
