Fun Times with Friends

One thing for sure, we are blessed with wonderful friends! Included are some pictures over the past week of our friends that have come over to play ... what fun!!!

Playhouse Progress

Favorite Outdoor Activities

Cooper LOVES to play basketball everytime we go outside. He enjoys shooting by himself or playing a game of "horse" with Daddy when he has the chance.

Brooke enjoys many things outside including a ride on her Barbie bike or her tricycle. Her most recent bike riding journey was to Walgreens to buy her own treat ... she did a great job!

Playdate at Sprout Studio

On Friday, we went to Sprout Studio with my friend Kelly and her 3 boys - Drew, Adam, and Kyle. All the kids had a GREAT time and have been asking me when we could go back. Thank you, Kelly, for a fun day!!!

Good Morning Girls!

Margaret spent the night with Brooke on Thursday. They did a great job! They decided to have a slumber party on the floor in Brooke's room. After giggling for about 30 minutes, I decided it was time to lay in between them and read a book. Within 5 minutes, they were both sacked out and I didn't hear a peep from either of them until 7:30 the next morning when they ran into my room giggling & laughing! They were so cute!

Baseball Season is Underway

Lance and Cooper had their first baseball game of the season this past Thursday. Their team is the ANGELS. They have enjoyed making some new friends, and their coach is terrific with all of them!

I must share this story with you ... Before leaving the house, Cooper asked me what team they were playing. I quickly answered, "I don't know". (For anyone that knows Cooper, he was not going to accept my response!) He replied, "Well, Mom, will you look at the schedule and see?" After looking at the schedule, I told him they were playing the DODGERS. Cooper said, "Mom, I don't want to play. That's my friend Ryan's team. Ryan is a good player, and I'm not that good. I'm going to be so sad if that is who we are playing." Cooper was getting very nervous about the game. I tried to explain to him that all he needed to do was his best and that it didn't matter if he won or lost. He seemed to accept my answer ... and in the end, he had a great time playing against his friend Ryan's team. Everyone did awesome!!!

Playing at the Park

After preschool on Thursday, we met a friend of mine at the park with her son. The weather was absolutely perfect! The boys enjoyed playing with C.J.; Brooke enjoyed playing with her friend Margaret; and I enjoyed visiting with Tracy. What a perfect afternoon!

Quinten & Ainsley Come For a Visit

Cooper, Lance, and Brooke were THRILLED when they found out that their cousins were coming in town last week ... and they were more excited to learn that they were planning to spend the night with us! We all had a great time visiting! In fact, our visit together made me realize just how much I miss all of them here, but I am so blessed that we get to see each other often!

Trip to the Zoo

We went to the zoo this past Tuesday after preschool with my friend Dana and her 2 boys. The kids had a great time playing at Kid's Cove!

Playhouse Update

Papaw is working so hard on Brooke's playhouse. The kids are still enjoying the chance to help carry wood, hammer nails, and "inspect" the work! Papaw is incredibly patient; and the kids are thrilled everytime he pulls in the driveway to work.

A Dream Come True

Cooper LOVES chocolate just like his mother!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

The kids were so excited to celebrate Daddy's birthday on the 4th! They had a difficult time understanding why he chose not to have a party at Pump It Up or Chuck E. Cheese; I tried to communicate that Daddy wanted to go out to dinner with some couple friends to celebrate ... the kids weren't impressed with his decision!

Brooke's Hard Work

This afternoon, I was cleaning my closet when Brooke popped in and said, "Hey Mom ... can I clean my drawers in my room?" Without hesitation, I said, "Sure, that would be great!" At least 15 or 20 minutes passed when I realized I had not heard from Brooke nor seen her; as one might expect, this is rare in my home for any of my 3 children. So I wondered down the hall to see what I might find. I laughed hysterically; Brooke grinned. She had already emptied, re-folded, and organized 3 of the drawers in her dresser. When I found her, she was working on her "sock & panty" drawer ... I couldn't resist taking this picture!!! She so neatly organized every single piece around the rug in her bedroom. Absolutely precious!!!

Margaret Comes to Play

Margaret came to play with Brooke yesterday. The girls had so much fun playing babies and dress-up. After playing outside, they were THRILLED to take a bubble bath ... and that (needless to say) was crazy - yet fun for the girls!!!

Kindergarten Roundup

(I cannot believe my twins are old enough to start kindergarten in the fall ...)
Lance and Cooper both had mixed emotions about going to Kindergarten Roundup this afternoon. As we were driving, Cooper continued to tell me how nervous he was; he has asked several times how he would find his classroom in a school that size. However, after going into the school and walking down the "green wing", the boys became comfortable with the idea that this was where they would be soon be spending their days! This concept became even more clear once they played on the school playground for awhile and after seeing their cousin/friend Emerson in the hallway. Overall, they had a great visit and are looking forward to starting school in the fall!
